Of Blood and Sorrow Character Meet & Greet: Nicolas Reese

I'm thrilled to be taking part in Christine Rains' Of Blood and Sorrow Character Meet & Greet today, and I'm lucky enough to have the super-hot male lead, fledgling vampire Nicolas Reese!

Having beta'd of Blood and Sorrow, I've experienced Nicolas' hotness first hand, and let me tell you, he is one smooth vampire!

I hope you all enjoy getting to know him a little ...

Nicolas Reese

“The dead man sat up.” - first line from Of Blood and Sorrow

Nicolas wakes to a new life in the first chapter, or rather, a new undead state of being. He's a vampire and doesn't believe it even with the hunger raging in his body. Creatures like that don't exist. Nope. It's just someone playing a joke on him.

As an only child, Nicolas was spoiled. It didn't help that he was a smart, athletic, and gorgeous boy. He always got what he wanted. Yet his big dreams for after university were forgotten when he became a regular club-goer. Drinking, dancing, and women. Who needed anything else when you felt that good?

Except Nicolas realized he did want something more... after he died. But the dreams he once sought after were no longer in his reach. Nor were his friends, mother, his whole charmed life.

There is one light in the darkness. Erin. She steps up to help him when no one else will. The problem is that her help brings dire consequences.

For them both.

Favorite line from Nicolas: Blah! I’ve come to suck your blood.”

Tidbit from the author: Nicolas was so much fun to write. Though he's dead, he brings life into Erin's world. Even in the worst of situations, he can be funny, sweet, or sexy.

OF BLOOD AND SORROW

By Christine Rains

Blurb:

Erin Driscol works the perfect job consoling fellow demons by feeding off their grief at Putzkammer & Sons Funeral Home.

When fledgling vampire Nicolas Reese comes to Erin for help, she learns the truth behind the legends and hides him from his sire and the vampire hunters who seek him. But when the Putzkammers begin to die one by one, Erin is caught between her act of kindness and the need to save her adopted family. Only by facing her own personal demons can she stop the slaughter and still rescue Nicolas from his dark fate.

  8. Nicolas makes a fantastic vampire... he has all the right attributes - sexiness, mysterious, and draws danger to anyone around him. Congrats, Christine on creating a fantastic Urban Fantasy.

  9. That sounds fun! I love the twist where he doesn't even believe in vampires until he becomes one. Though, of course, being an only child doesn't automatically equal being spoiled, as the summary implies. :-)
