Update: Sales, Books Releases and Revisions
Howdy folks!
I hope everyone's week has started off well, and those that celebrated Thanksgiving had an enjoyable holiday weekend!
Shockingly enough, I'm finding time to update my blog, and I have a few items to share with you today.
First is the Curiosity Quills Cyber Monday Blowout, featuring SIXTY-TWO of our titles, including charity anthologies Primetime and After Dark, for just $0.99! The offer ends tomorrow, so check it out before it's too late!

Next we have a new release from British author Alex Tanner. Contemporary thriller, Paradise Incoming.
Synopsis:
Sometimes, when you're travelling, you want to do something a little bit different.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you head so far off the beaten track you wind up in No Man's Land.
My name is Wesley Morey.
In November 2001, in the wake of the terrorist attack on America, we found a track that no man wants to walk.
Avaliable at: Amazon US | Amazon UK | iBooks | Smashwords

Finally, an update about my own WiP and UnRaNoWriMo.
Despite being busy with work, I've managed to make some progress on my paranormal-romance.
I sent the first 35k to some writer friends for feedback, and got some brilliant comments. Alex Tanner is a real science buff, so she helped me with virus versus bacterium, and antidote versus antibody.
I'm currently going through with Hubby to inject more personality into my leading man, Sol. One of Alex's comments was that the relationships seemed slightly one-sided, in that a lot of the flirtation etc. came from MC Roxie. Upon discussing this with Hubby, I realised it just wouldn't be in character for Sol to flirt. So, to show his interest in Roxie, I have him opening up about his past a little more. Hopefully it'll help build up the bond between them.
I've also managed about 11k on act two, and think it's heading in the right direction. I just need to take a step back, and do a little planning now, as I have a crucial fight scene coming up, and want to get it just right.
Well that's all really, so I'll leave it here for today, and go and visit some blogs to see what you've all been up to!
Let me know if you've got any exciting news to share, I'd love to hear it!

Memories of Murder Cover Reveal and Excerpt
Though the Murder, Madness and Love giveaway may have ended, and the winners announced, the Murder, Madness and Love blog tour is still in full swing.
In preparation for the mystery-thriller sequel, Memories of Murder, by Yolanda Renee, scheduled for release 4th October, 2013, I'm taking part in the cover reveal, and sharing an excerpt from Yolanda's forthcoming release.
Decades ago, the seeds were planted …
Today, dark, fathomless eyes rake the image before him. One final task and the transformation is complete. Steady fingers screw intricately carved horns on each side of a stiff brow, and a gargoyle suitable for Notre Dame scowls from the smokey mirror in satisfaction.
A jagged smile rips through his smooth, hairless face, and inked, reptilian scales caress his naked body.
A laugh of hideous resonance emanates from his gut as the demons of hell welcome Lucifer into their fold.
In a dungeon-like chamber, his Lilith awaits. The kidnapped daughter of a nun, groomed to fit the final piece in the complex puzzle for world domination. Will Lucifer marry his bride, on the summer solstice?
Only two things stand in his way ... His greed ... And ... Detective Steven Quaid.
Tomorrow, you'll be mine. Your blood will assuredly be purer than the sweetest honey on earth. His stomach rumbles, and his saliva flows in anticipation of her taste. His unbridled joy almost costs him his concealment when a celebratory growl escapes his throat, and the doe takes notice. He stills himself and waits.
The woman looks directly at him. Seconds tick by in uneasy expectation. She sees me. He swallows hard, almost dropping his camera. She smiles. His body flushes with excitement.
His smile broadens, and then evaporates. No. He takes a deep breath, closes his eyes, and relaxes his muscles. The Scriptures have foretold of our first meeting. Patience, my queen, my love.
His hands drip with sweat; his heart pounds. He shuts the camera off and carefully lowers it to the ground. She shows no fear, and he sees every move as flirtation. Using the sleeves of his shirt, he dries his hands, mops his forehead, and turns the camera back on. He calms the urge to go to her. He stays silent, motionless, but vigilant.
An adventurous spirit took Yolanda Renee to Alaska where she hiked the Brooks Range, traveled from Prudhoe Bay to Valdez, and learned to sleep under the midnight sun.
She now resides in Central Pennsylvania with her husband, two sons, and Boston terrier, Patches.

Excerpt
From a lair of downed tree limbs and forest debris, a man watches a young woman. He chronicles her every move. From the moment of her arrival, and through the three hours she works to record the scenery on her canvas, he barely moves a muscle. He is content—comfortable. His camouflage is so perfect that deer graze just inches away.Tomorrow, you'll be mine. Your blood will assuredly be purer than the sweetest honey on earth. His stomach rumbles, and his saliva flows in anticipation of her taste. His unbridled joy almost costs him his concealment when a celebratory growl escapes his throat, and the doe takes notice. Memorable Monday: September Writers4Writers Group and CassaStorm By Alex J Cavanaugh
Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you all had an excellent weekend. As you may have noticed, there was no Favourites Friday post last week - honestly, I've simply been too busy - but I'm back with a new week's Memorable Monday post, and hopefully I can keep to my schedule a little more this week!
First of all this Monday we have the awesome Writers4Writers Group, who get together the
third Monday of each month, to spotlight new authors.
Mission:
• Help writers bring awareness of their book(s) to tens of thousands of new people
• Help writers reach Amazon Top 100 in at least one category (i.e., suspense, free, whatever)
• Increase sales of their book(s) after the promo is over
• Drive new traffic to their blog and increase following
• Create verbal and viral buzz.
In A Nut Shell: the spotlighted author will choose a social media avenue such as Twitter or Facebook (or both). The third Monday of each month, we will spotlight one, two, or possibly three new authors.
Then, the good people of Blogdom will promote the author’s book to their Twitter followers or Facebook friends, and thus to incredibly large new audiences the author could not reach on their own.
This month's W4WS features Helen Ginger and Cherie Reich.
Since Halloween is coming up, Cherie Reich is promoting The Nightmare Collection. Through Halloween, the collection is only $0.99. Feel free to snag the promo picture she's created about the sale.

Helen Ginger is making it simple for us by providing tweets for you to tweet. They're all quotes from her book, Angel Sometimes.
Tweets:
"Oh, come on, Xavier, this indoor/outdoor grass is about to rip off my nipples. Just sit on my butt and yank." http://amzn.to/KWl2eV
"I'll tell you a secret. When you're a mermaid, no one can tell when you're crying." http://amzn.to/KWl2eV
"In the jungle, the strong eat the weak. It's the same with teenage girls." http://amzn.to/KWl2eV
"Before you point this gun at anyone, you ask yourself if you're ready to kill." http://amzn.to/KWl2eV
Here's a blurb about Angel Sometimes:
Just before her thirteenth birthday, Angel's aunt took her 800 miles from her home in Oklahoma, gave her $50 and left her on South Padre Island, Texas. Four years later, Angel hitchhiked to Austin and got a job swimming as a mermaid in a bar in the music district. At twenty-two, she has friends and a place to live, but she realizes she will never be whole until she confronts her parents. To do that, she needs three things: a car, her high school diploma, and a gun.
Angel Sometimes is available from bookstores. Or over at Amazon you can find it in print or e-book.

Also today, I'm thrilled to be taking part in Ninja Captain Alex J Cavanaugh's celebrations for the third instalment of his Cassa series, Cassa Storm!
Over on his blog, Alex invited us to ask him and question and he'd answer them as part of his release day blitz. Here is my question and his answer.
Clare: Why haven't aliens visited Earth yet?
Alex: If you were a highly intelligence being, would you want to come here?
How do we know they haven’t visited us? We project our idea of what aliens should be and what they should look like when we really have no idea. Perhaps they are beyond our comprehension.
I think Alex has a great point! Aliens would take one look at Earth, laugh at how stupid we can be, and take off in the opposite direction!
CassaStorm
By Alex J Cavanaugh
From the Amazon Best Selling Series!
A storm gathers across the galaxy…
Commanding the Cassan base on Tgren, Byron thought he’d put the days of battle behind him. As a galaxy-wide war encroaches upon the desert planet, Byron’s ideal life is threatened and he’s caught between the Tgrens and the Cassans.
After enemy ships attack the desert planet, Byron discovers another battle within his own family. The declaration of war between all ten races triggers nightmares in his son, threatening to destroy the boy’s mind.
Meanwhile the ancient alien ship is transmitting a code that might signal the end of all life in the galaxy. And the mysterious probe that almost destroyed Tgren twenty years ago could return. As his world begins to crumble, Byron suspects a connection. The storm is about to break, and Byron is caught in the middle…
“Cavanaugh has created wonderfully moving moments of great poignancy… CassaStorm could have been a dark story full of hardship and angst, but instead it's a cleverly balanced story about hope and triumph.” - Lynda R. Young, author of Make Believe
“I thought the revelation was going to be one thing and I was completely wrong … CassaStorm pushes the limits…” - Tyson Mauermann, Speculative Reviews
