Update, Triberr and Work In Progress Madness

from http://www.freedigitalphotos.net/
I have a new monitor! Yay!

Last week Oldest broke my old one! I've been using Hubby's laptop since then, but my new one arrived today. I'm so happy to be back on my system. Even though I created a user account on Hubby's laptop, it just didn't feel right.

Despite the week of borrowed computer, I still managed to be productive. I've given my WiP a couple of read troughs, made some revisions, and made some notes on what still needs improving. All in all, my editing of Act One is going great.

I saw on Twitter earlier the WiPMadness tag. I'm still not 100% sure what WiP Madness is, I think it ties into Camp NaNo, but I'm going to use it to motivate me with my Act One revisions.

Anyone else doing WiP Madness? Let me know and we can encourage each other.

I also started my marketing internship for Curiosity Quills today. I get to play on Twitter, Facebook & Pinterest all day. GREATEST.JOB.EVER! Seriously though, I'm really enjoying learning about the social media marketing aspect of being a published writer, and learning about new sites etc.

Which brings me to Triberr ... Courtney - my CQ mentor - told me about this site. It's a place where you can connect with other blogs, by joining a tribe, and then people in your tribe share your links. I've only just started using it, and I'm just getting to grips with tribes and approving people's links, so we'll see how it turns out. Anyone else on Triberr? Let me know and I'll join your tribe. :D

What's everyone's plans for the week? What are you working on? Are you taking part in Camp NaNoWriMo? Any releases/ cover reveals etc. I might have missed? Let me know, I'd love to hear all about it.

I've heard of triberr, but not used it. I'll be working on moving :( and hopefully getting a few words down on a novel I'm drafting as well :)

  4. It is so hare to work on a computer that isn't 'yours'. Glad you have the new monitor.

I'll have to check out Triber. Sounds interesting.

I'm using June to get ready for Camp Nano.

    1. Right. Even though I had all my files and bookmarks, it still felt wrong.

Is Camp NaNo not in June this year? What have you got planned for it?

  5. Sounds like you are enjoying that new monitor. Things are crazy busy over in this neck of the woods. I like the sound of your new internship, cruising around different sites and chilling out. Very cool!

Glad to hear you are still getting work done on your WIP too! I have been too busy to sit down and write too much. Hopefully going to be able to in the summer. Two weeks until my girls out of school, woot woot! Can't wait. Think I am more excited than they are, LOL

  7. Hey Claire! #WipMadness is a group of bloggers and writers. I belong to the group. It's the brainchild of author Denise Jaden. During most of the year, we meet up on Mondays (usually) on the hosting blogger's site and check in with one another. During March, we check in daily and write, well, with Madness! You can use the hashtag #wipmadness or #WipMadness and I think there's a group. Let me find out and I'll let you know so you can join up. :) We'd love to have you!
