With that out of the way… This book made me shout out loud! Multiple times!!
As I said in my review for All of You, if you’ve read any of Kyra Lennon’s books, you expect certain things such as real characters, real emotions, and twists and turns. And boy does this book deliver!
Only With You picks up almost immediately where All of You starts and Kyra wastes no time piling on the drama. This book had been reeling from one revelation to the next, right until the end.
But it was always kept balanced and realistic by the way Kyra writes such in-depth, relatable characters, with emotions everyone has experienced. There’s a lot of heartbreak in this book, but there are also many highs -- plus a return to the steamy content Kyra began in All of You.
While Only With You is a continuation of Shannen and Cal’s story, the supporting characters were also allowed room to shine and I especially loved Gaby in this book!
I don’t want to give away any spoilers, but there are many scenes near the end of the story that Kyra handled perfectly. She injected just the right amount of emotion in there along with the drama so you really felt what Shannen and Cal were feeling.
The conclusion is epic -- satisfying but not predictable. Five stars!
I can’t wait to see how the series develops next…
