Six Sentence Sunday & CampNaNoWriMo Update

Just thought I'd let everyone know I signed up for this week's Six Sentence Sunday. Here's what you have to do:

Pick six (6) sentences from anything you like (it can be from a Work in Progress (WiP), something you recently sold, something you hope to sell or even something already under contract and available for purchase – and don’t worry, Six Sentence Sunday is for published AND unpublished writers). Then post them on your blog on Sunday. That’s all there is to it! (for the full rules/ FAQ see here.)

So, this Sunday at 2 p.m. GMT/ 9a.m. EST there will be a six sentence snippet from my current Wip, my Camp NaNoWriMo, New Adult Paranormal Romance, Cupid.

I'd love to know if anyone else is signing up, let me know if you are, and I'll be sure to check out your blog.

While I'm here, a quick NaNo update. No word count for today, as I had a family day. Me and Hubby took our boys to the zoo, and had an excellent time. Managed to get 1000 words done yesterday, so I'm now just 3,406 off the "winning" 50k - I hope to achieve that tomorrow, then push forwards with completing the story.

What's everyone else working on, either for NaNo or not, I'd love to hear all about it. If you've got some news or WiP snippets on your blog and I've missed it, please point me in the direction.

  1. You've been doing awesome with NaNo!

I've been editing a lot this month, so I'm just itching to get back to writing but the editing has to be done first.

    1. Thanks! :D

I've taken a break from editing my other novel. I do miss the fun of fixing up something you've already created, but I'm also loving the burst of new ideas.

    1. It was, it was excellent. I'm knackered now though! I did also make me think that my WiP MC and her LI need to go on a date to the zoo. Fun times! :D

  3. Sometimes, you just need to step away from the computer. Taking the little ones to the zoo, sounds like just what you needed. You have been working very hard to meet all of your word counts- it still amazes me how much you get done. I'm glad you had a little time off to spend with the fam.

  4. A zoo day sounds like fun! You get a lot of writing done with kids around. I'm jealous!

    1. It was a lot of fun! :D I think I'm lucky writing wise, because the oldest is old enough to entertain himself. Plus Hubby works from home, so the duties are split. :D

  5. I liked what you shared on FB. Glad the writing is going, Clare.

I'm working on Backworlds #2 and Hetty #2. Just started both and trying to get back into the writing groove.

    1. Thanks Mary. :D

Sometimes it's hard to get back in the groove after taking a break. Good luck. I just read the synopsis for the Hetty books, they look very interesting. :D
